C’Nano IdF is the Ile-de-France Competence Centre. It was created in 2006 at the initiative of the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), the French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), and the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR). It is financed by Ile de France Region. The objectives consist in uniting and organizing the scientific activities of the nanoscience community, supporting research promoting the emergence of collaborative projects, interdisciplinarity, and encouraging the taking into account of the societal challenges, disseminating knowledge by participating and implementing training in the field of nanoscience, and raising public awareness about nanosciences and its potential, promote communication with meetings and exchanges between researchers and other citizens ; between academic and industrial environment, and lead partnerships with other regions, Europe-wide.C’Nano IdF is the Ile-de-France Competence Centre.
